House Café.

HOUSE CAFÉ opened its doors on July 11, 1997 in A Coruña, Spain, born as a small music bar in the heart of the city. Over more than 11 years, it evolved through different stages and venues, becoming the ultimate House Music party in the city and a space of liberation for several generations who participated in the explosion of the House movement in the city.

House Café welcomed artists from all over the world, establishing itself as a reference in the Spanish House Music scene around the World.

The story of House Café begins on July 11, 1997, on Calle Gómez Zamalloa in A Coruña. It was a small music bar, nothing more on paper. But from the first nights it had something the city had been missing: a place built around house music, where people came to dance, to listen and to belong.

In 1998 the project moved to Oh! Coruña, where it kept growing, with anniversaries and New Year's Eve parties that became part of the city's calendar. In 2000 I opened Telefunken, a house music bar that ran for ten years and shared the same spirit. In 2002 the story also became a record label, House Café Music, so the sound could travel beyond the doors of any club.

In 2007 House Café moved to the beach, at Playa de Bastiagueiro, and later it passed through other venues and stages. Each stage had its own character, but the idea never changed: the music comes first, and the people make the night. Artists from all over the world joined us along the way, and a whole generation grew up on those dance floors.

After a pause, House Café came back to A Coruña in 2022 at Oceánico. In 2025 it crossed to Asia and opened in Bangkok, with nights at Baccarat and APT 101, and in 2026 it arrived in Hanoi, Vietnam. Almost three decades after that first night, it is still on the road, still curated by me, and still doing the same thing: keeping the people dancing.
